Checking out the fresh cut grass.
Just chillin' in the sun after a rainy Saturday.
I'm ready for my close-up Mr. DeMille.
Pssst! Go away, I am sooo tired of the paparrazzi.
Lily was in to see the Doc earlier this month and she is doing great. The infection and wound on her stump healed nicely and we keep it protected with the padded t-shirts I make for her. Her blood work is good and best of all her chest x-ray was clean.....no sign of cancer....not even a smidgeon!
I haven't been doing much blog posting or reading for that matter lately because about a month ago my part time job turned into a full time job. That with my online business and keeping up with Lily has been about all I can do. I've done a little sewing......a 50's circle skirt, complete with Rottweilers on it, and a matching petticoat for a charity dinner are about all I've managed. Hopefully I will have more posts, more frequently as I get into a better routine with work.
Oh Lily, you beautiful girl! Cancer-FREE!! You GO!! This is such excellent news. Really. Mom is teary-eyed. But can you get your mom to show a picture of the rottweiler skirt??

Your rottie skirt sounds amazing! Beautiful Lily looks wonderful!
ReplyDeleteHowdy Lily, good to see you and hear you are so very well. You have made our week. No worries, and love, Stella and Rory
ReplyDeleteGood morning, we heard about Lily from Mango and Dexter. So wonderful that she is now cancer free!
ReplyDeleteWe're sending some belly rubs from me and a friendly sniff from Molly and Target!
Great news about your furbaby!
ReplyDeleteLove the idea of the skirt- do you make one with dachshunds?
You're one brave rottie girl, Lily! You're beautiful and you look great. Hugs to you and your family.
ReplyDeleteI am so happy with your news. The clear chest x-ray is absolutely huge. Smiles from us!
ReplyDeleteSince my K has the same disease, I've done a lot of reading. In case you're interested, dogs who get infections in their stumps after amputation have a substantially longer time on this Earth than others. No one knows why. So, there's a silver lining to that infection.
Thanks for the update. We are all pulling for Lily.
Hey, Lily! We just read about you on Mango's blog and came to say hi. We're so happy you are now cancer free and back to enjoying life. What cool shirts your mom makes for you! Do you have a wardrobe of colors and designs?

Hello Lily,
ReplyDeleteJust wandered over from the Mango's blog.
I am terribly sorry to hear the uky C has struck another beautiful life. I wish it would just go away and leave everyone be.
I am very pleased to hear you have beaten it and it's tucked it's tail and run away. Way to go Lily. Be strong. We are cheering for you and speedy recovery. I'm sure your people have been exhausted with stress and worry. Give them lots of hugs and snuggles.
Emma
